Jinah Kwon

Admired as a consummate performer, pianist Jinah Kwon, a native of Korea, is a prizewinner in major piano competitions. She started to play the piano at the age of 5, and she started to receive the spotlight in many domestic competitions from a teenager. After a successful debut with the Russia-Tombov Philharmonic Orchestra in 2002, she started to perform a recital debut including Buam Art hall (2005), I-wan art center (2004), and Concert Hall at SNU (2006). Also, Jinah has won the top prize in many famous competitions including Seoul Economy Newspaper competition (2002), Seo-gyung competition (2002), and Korean pianist competition (2004). Also she performed concert for Liszt 200 year’s celebration at Seoul art center in 2012 with top pianists.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Seoul National University in 2007, and she received an Acedemic achievement scholarship every semester. After graduating, she earned a master's degree at the same school in 2011. Now Jinah is a Doctoral pianist at the University of North Texas, where she received many scholarships including Stark/Scionti Classical Piano Scholarship and Academic Achievement Scholarship, working with Gustavo Romero.
